Spot the best places to Park in Ipswich this Christmas Season

We’ve often heard people say ‘Parking in Ipswich is a nightmare!’, especially over the Christmas period and this has been heightened recently with talks of the possible closure of the Park and Ride bus services.

Because we’re helpful folk we’ve put a blog together to make it a little bit easier for you when visiting the town, highlighting the car parks in Ipswich with the best rates, as well as offers and deals you may not already be aware of.

Ipswich Borough Council – ‘Quids in Scheme’
The council’s car parking scheme aims to make it easier for people to park in peak times to boost the business of the town centre while keeping car parking costs down. The charge £1 for the rest of the day after 3pm from Monday to Friday.
There are eight car parks included in this promotion:
• Athena Hall (Ipswich Waterfront)
• Portman Road
• Crown Street
• William Street (close to Crown Pools and Tower Ramparts)
• Regent in Woodbridge Road
• Bond Street
• Upper Barclay Street (off Upper Orwell Street)
• West End Road.
• Cromwell Square car park, which is owned by Suffolk County Council, is also taking part.

Early Bird Offer
Park ALL DAY for only £3.40
Perfect offer for commuters and early starter who will be arriving before 8am. Parkers will be able to get an all-day parking ticket in the following car parks:

• New Portman Road
• Ipswich Village
