Ipswich Plan Submitted
The Ipswich Local Plan, which looks ahead at the development needed in the town up to 2031, has been submitted to the Government for independent examination.
The planning blueprint is in two parts:
- The Core Strategy and Policies Development Plan Document Review sets out Borough-wide policies and strategic site allocations;
- The Site Allocations and Policies (Incorporating IP-One Area Action Plan) Development Plan Document allocates smaller sites.
Supporting documents relevant to the preparation of the plans have also been submitted.
The plans will now be examined by an independent Planning Inspector, with public hearings anticipated to start next spring.
The documents are available for inspection at the following locations (please note opening hours will vary over the Christmas period):
- Ipswich County Library, Northgate Street (Mon, Wed, Thur 9am to 6pm; Tues, Fri 9am to 7pm; Sat 8.30am to 5pm and Sun 10am to 4pm);
- Grafton House Reception, 15-17 Russell Road (Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5pm);
- Customer Services Centre, Town Hall (weekdays 8.30am to 5pm) (excluding supporting documents)
