Maritime Ipswich - Evening entertainment for all the family
Visit Ipswich Waterfront on Friday 14th August where the fairground will be open for children, young and old. And if the fairground isn’t for you, take a visit to the Pilots Mess Pub, located at the end of the Orwell Quay. Take the weight off your feet, relax and enjoy the spectacular sights of the maritime event.
On Saturday 15th August, you can enjoy the re-enactments, with authentically dressed ‘Soldiers on Parade’ demonstrating their skills, and watch your ears as the canons are fired. The fairground is open again all day to keep the children entertained, and enjoy the sounds of the Blue Bus Tour who are on stage until 9pm, located near to the Pilots Mess Pub. Grab yourself a drink as you enjoy the sounds. There’s also music on the deck on Sailing Barge Victor on Saturday evening, so stop by the Old Custom House and give Wes, the skipper a wave!
The Blue Bus Tour Stage is open again on Sunday 16th August until 9pm, along with the fairground and Pilots Mess Pub, so whatever day you’re coming down you will not miss out.
And, as in previous years, Maritime Ipswich concludes with a Firework Finale which takes place at 9.30pm.
