Maritime Ipswich – Daytime entertainment for all the family

Every child loves the fun of the fair, so head down to Orwell Quay where you’ll find the ‘Big Wheel’, the Helter Skelter, the Gallopers, the Simulator and children’s rides. Entertainment for every member of the family to enjoy. The funfair will be open to the public Friday 14th August 5pm-10pm, Saturday 15th August 10am-10pm and Sunday 16th August 10am-9pm [Times correct at time of publication and subject to change]

Other daytime entertainment for your pleasure includes:

  • A double decker bus providing opportunities to enjoy the views
  • Maritime Dance Day in the Cranfield Mill Courtyard with traditional Ceilidh, Morris and Hip-Hop Dancing taking place on Saturday 10am-6pm
  • Old Custom House to feature ‘Ipswich at War’ Exhibition by ABP and an exhibition from Ipswich Maritime Trust
  • ‘Sae Wylfing’ a 46ft half length replica Saxon Ship will be on display on the landside and open for visitors outside the Cult Bar. Various Saxon activities organised by volunteers in Saxon outfits will include ‘Stick Peeling’, Sword, Stave or Wand Making, Saxon Lego Models, Anglo-Saxon Hammered Coin Anvil and various items on display.   • Sponsors / Stallholders to bring along a ……Batmobile, Speed McQueen Car, 5m ‘Ostrich’ Power Boat which are static attractions and popular for ‘selfies’ and will be located on the UCS Plaza
