New Wolsey Young Company opening auditions for their first ever musical production
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
12th/13th December 2015
Next spring the acclaimed New Wolsey Young Company will present its first ever musical, and we’re throwing open our doors for young people aged 16 – 25 who want to audition.
This production will celebrate 15 years of the New Wolsey Theatre and be presented in the New Wolsey Studio for 12 performances in April of 2016.
Sunday rehearsals will commence in mid-January until 10 days before the performance, in the Easter school holidays, when the on set, technical and dress rehearsals will begin.
There are up to 20 roles available between the principal cast and chorus, we are also looking for performers who can play an instrument to performance standard to play as a part of their role.
There will not be a dance call as a part of the audition, but please wear comfortable and appropriate clothing for movement, and bring water. Audition sessions begin with a group workshop and are followed a panel audition with the director and musical director.
There are two opportunities to audition – both are identical in format, but are presented to allow people with existing commitments a chance to participate. In the event that you can’t attend either date an additional audition session may be presented – please contact us if this is the case for you.
