STAGE ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR THIS YEAR’S IPSWICH MUSIC DAY 2016 #IMD16

More than fifty artists and musicians will be performing at the 26th annual Ipswich Music Day event taking place at Christchurch Park, Ipswich, Suffolk on Sunday 3rd July.

There will be seven stages which will provide a diverse mix of music to suit all tastes, from rock and blues through to acoustic, contemporary and classical performances.

Ipswich Borough Council, which organises the event, received a record number of applications from bands and musicians keen to play to thousands of music goers in what is one of the largest free music events in the UK and regularly attracts over 40,000 visitors throughout the day.

As well as music, visitors can expect a market place, funfair and food & drink stalls.

Local musician Dominic Clarke who will be performing with Midnight and the Cosmonauts on the Ed Sheeran stage said “As a band we went to many festivals during our teen years and always wanted to play at Ipswich Music Day. I saw Ed Sheeran perform at the event when I was 14 so it’s a great opportunity to perform at the same event.”
