DanceEast and Spring Win Three Awards at Transform Awards Europe 2016

Spring’s branding work with DanceEast has earned the two organisations three wins in the finals of this year’s prestigious and highly competitive Transform Europe awards, which were held in London last night.

Established in 2008, the Transform Awards Europe honour brand development and rebranding projects, recognizing excellence and rewarding innovation in branding across Europe. They are the only awards specifically dedicated to brand work. Spring’s winning categories with DanceEast are:

Best Wayfinding and Signage – Silver Award

Best Brand Experience - Bronze Award

Best Visual Identity for a Charity - Bronze Award

Spring took a table at the awards ceremony, which was held at The Brewery, Moorgate, and invited several key individuals who represent the East and its achievements and ambitions to join them, as well as the chief executive of design industry association, the DBA.

Alongside Spring co-founders Simon Hazelgrove and Erika Clegg, chairman Ian Cochrane, senior designer Bex Spillings and senior account managerLaura Marfell-Williams were Mark Pendlington, Group Director of Anglian Water and Chairman of the New Anglia LEP, Helen Wilson, Head of the LEP cultural board, Chief Executive and Artistic Director of DanceEast Brendan Keaney and DanceEast’s Head of Communications & Development Rachel Tarkenter, and Deborah Dawton, Chief Executive of the Design Business Association.

Erika Clegg says: “Spring is celebrating turning ten this year, and what better way than with success in these awards and the news that we have also been shortlisted for the Creative Circle awards and Drum Design Awards. We are also set to figure quite prominently in this year’s UK design agency census. It’s a great accolade for the team and our clients, and just goes to show that you can run a national design business from the Suffolk Coast.”

Rachel Tarkenter says “Spring’s work has complemented our exciting artistic programme and helped lead to an increase in audiences. Last autumn season we averaged 80% capacity at performances. Spring continues to ensure our brand remains fresh and consistent across print, web and PR.”

We are pleased to celebrate the best and brightest in rebranding and brand development. This year’s winners represent the benchmark in European brand communications.” Brittany Golob, Editor, Transform magazine
