Apply now to play Ipswich Music Day
Any musicians who want to play in front of 40,000 people on Ipswich Music Day can tomorrow take a step to turn their dream into reality.
Aspiring singers and bands of all genres – as well as old favourites – are invited to apply to be part of the 2016 Music Day line-up in Christchurch Park on Sunday 3rd July.
You will have to hurry – applications open tomorrow (1st March) for a two-week window.
More than 50 entertainers are selected each year for what is the biggest free outdoor music festival in the country.
Don’t forget, Ipswich Music Day is where superstar Ed Sheeran made his breakthrough in 2010. Ed was keen to lend his name to Music Day and the Ed Sheeran Stage is again sponsored by One sixth-form college.
More than 40,000 fans are expected to flock to the park from noon to 8pm to see old friends perform and find some new favourites on six stages.
