The first landmark in my 1000 Faces project has been reached, the first 100 people have been photographed and it has been amazing to see how everyone is encouraging their friends and family to come down. What I really need now for this project to keep up speed is a business in the centre of town or on the waterfront to allow me to come down to their business and set up my portable studio and photograph the people who are unable to get across town to my studio, I feel that this will benefit the business as well as the project.
Since the last update I have had a few famous faces take part, Ballet master from the Royal London Ballet, Gary Avis, took the time to come along to my studio to take part, Mayor and Mayoress, Hamil and Penny both have had their photographs taken for the project along with the Deputy Fire Chief of Suffolk Fire and Rescue Services and Nick Pandolfi of Town 102. It has been a great couple of weeks and I am eager now to hit the 250 Mark. As you can see from the collage of 100 people, just a tenth of the faces needed this is going to be a piece that really wows.
The next step is to get businesses involved, if you have a local business with the space for me to set up a small studio please contact me through my facebook page ‘Gavin King Photography’ or email me
