Extensively refurbished and re-opened in 2014, the former Riverside Hotel is now The Station Hotel, although its pleasant riverside location hasn’t changed of course!

As you’d expect from the name, The Station Hotel is located opposite Ipswich railway station, and only 10 minutes walk from the town centre. If you’re waiting for a train or meeting someone coming in on one, it’s the perfect meeting place – there is even a live train arrivals board in the bar, so you can have a drink and a snack without worrying that you’ll miss your connection.

The Station Hotel is also well located for the Waterfront area, the University campus and the Buttermarket shopping centre, plus Ipswich Town FC is only a 5-minute walk. Buses to all points leave from the station right opposite.

The newly-renovated airy pub-food restaurant serves food every day, from breakfasts to snacks to steaks, and features a menu packed with Very Tempting Things. Come in any time and you can enjoy a drink and a bite to eat in a relaxed setting with views across the river.

Whether you fancy a morning coffee, a quick pint, a hearty Sunday Lunch or a delicious three-course dinner, The Station Hotel has it covered, and hearty portions are guaranteed.

As well as the extensive main menu, take advantage of their weekly rota of specials:

• Monday is Grill Day – 35-day matured steaks served with chips, peas, onion rings, grilled tomato and coleslaw, or choose chicken, ribs, gammon or “surf & turf”. Main courses from just £6.49.
• Tuesday is Sausage & Mash Day – mix and match your favourite sausages, mashed potatoes (traditional, cheese & chive, wholegrain mustard) and peas. Priced per item, so go with your appetite and pay accordingly!
• Wednesday is Curry Day – your choice of chicken, beef or veggie curry with rice, naan, popadoms and mango chutney for £6.49
• Friday is Fish Day – a range of fresh fish dishes, from a humble-but-satisfying fish finger butty, to a full-on fish and chips.

Look out also for the midweek roasts and daily specials boards.

There are loads of live music sessions at the hotel and regular live sports across multiple screens.
