Basepoint Ipswich is delighted to announce that it recently presented its chosen charity, Cancer Campaign in Suffolk, with a cheque for £4,641, after match-funding proceeds raised by Centre Manager, Michelle Wootton following her sponsored charity head shave.

Cancer Campaign aims to improve access to high quality information and support services to cancer patients and their carers in Suffolk.

Basepoint Business Centres, who specialise in the development and operation of flexible business, innovation and enterprise centres, is owned by The ACT Foundation, a leading UK grant-making charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life of those in need. As such, each centre is dedicated to fundraising for a selected charity and The ACT Foundation match funds any money raised for the chosen charity, up to the value of £10,000 per centre.

Michelle Wootton, Basepoint Ipswich’s centre manager, comments: “The response to my charity head shave has been fantastic. Thank you to everyone who sponsored me and sent me messages of support. My hair is growing back incredibly fast and I cannot believe how generous our licensees and clients have been. I am delighted to have raised this money for such a worthy cause”
