Great networking events for great local businesses

Ipswich Means Business is a bi-monthly evening networking event, where you have the opportunity to meet up other local business owners, and potentially do business. Run by the team at Grow My Small Business in partnership with Ipswich Town & Waterfront, our networking events are informal and relaxed, with no formal presentations or the requirement to talk in front of the whole group. And there is no membership fee as we want you to come to our events because you want to, and not because you’re obliged to by a long term commitment.

During the networking events everyone moves around so that by the end of the evening everyone gets to meet everyone else - there is time to talk about your business, and many people find these small groups more informative than larger networking groups where you may only get to actually talk to a handful of people. And for fun, we sometimes includes a team activity or a quiz - we share the answers with you at the end and the end of the evening, and throw in the occasional prize for the winning team!

Ipswich Means Business takes place at different venues across Ipswich as part of our commitment to supporting independent businesses in the town. Quite simply, we want to take you to places where you may not have been before, and to introduce you to the best that Ipswich has to offer.

Ipswich Means Business networking events take place in the evenings, and include a different food option each meeting. Where there is a bar in the venue, this will remain open after the scheduled event allowing time for you to continue networking.

The cost to attend Ipswich Means Business varies, and the fee includes costs for the venue, a light evening buffet, and administration costs to the booking agent, EventBrite.

We are confident that you will enjoy the evening and by the end you will have met every other person attending. New businesses are always welcome, and we hope to see you at a future event.

Excellent networking events

I cannot recommend Ipswich Means Business as a networking forum highly enough. having been to the last 2 events I have secured follow up meetings and built relationships from both. Look forward to more great evenings in 2017

Evening at the Red Rose Chain Theatre

I attended a business networking event at the Red Rose Chain Theatre. Impressive building and great company. I hadn't been to a meeting in quite a while, but I was really looking forward to seeing the theatre. It was a fun evening, as all events organised by Natalie and Kevin are. All are just a little bit different and extremely well organised. Thank you both

Bringing a fun and social aspect to professional business networking

The approach to Natalie and Kevin's networking events is that networking can be fun, social, relaxed AND professional. The evenings are always well structured to ensure everyone feels comfortable whether experienced at networking, or their first meeting. Natalie always makes sure that all emails are exchanged so everyone can follow up with individual 1-2-1s. It's fantastic to get to networking in different environments - theatre, bowling, or even on the water!

Red Rose event

Fabulous night, well run by Kevin and Natalie (as usual). This couple selflessly promote the town and are a testament to all the good work being done in the area. The Red Rose group are a great example.
