Bucklesham Players have been producing and performing shows in the village of Bucklesham for over 40 years. We perform a traditional pantomime every January, and follow up with a variety show in May, when all the proceeds go to charity. Recent productions have included Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Robinson Crusoe, and Aladdin. The pantomimes are very traditional, with plenty of songs and laughter for all the family.
We rehearse in the recently renovated Bucklesham Village Hall on Tuesday evenings, and also on Sunday afternoons as the performances draw close.
We are a very local group - nearly all our members live (or have lived) in the village, or are related to someone who does. A lot of the children go to the village school. This doesn’t mean that we don’t like outsiders. We are always looking for new talent, and anyone interested in joining us, either on or back-stage, can contact us via our pages on Facebook or Twitter.
Rehearsals are already underway for our next production, so when you’re thinking what’s on at the theatre, think Bucklesham Players!
