Enjoy an amazing waterfront view of the Maritime Fireworks with Sailing Barge Victor
The Sailing Barge Victor is providing a fabulous finale for this coming weekend’s Maritime Ipswich festival, on Sunday 16th August, with a special “Sundowner” Cruise to coincide with the Maritime fireworks display which will bring the Maritime Ipswich festival to a close.
You can join Sailing Barge Victor for this relaxing 3 hour cruise, and enjoy the best view of the spectacular Maritime fireworks from her decks. Victor will leave her berth outside The Old Custom House from Ipswich Waterfront at 6.30pm.
At various other times throughout the Maritime Ipswich Weekend Sailing Barge Victor will be open to the public for people to come on board, meet the crew, and enjoy music and shanty singers.
Sailing Barge Victor was built in Ipswich in 1895 and is completely refitted and furbished for leisure cruising. She has a long and interesting history and, in 2012, represented Suffolk at the Queens Jubilee pageant on the Thames. She has a well-stocked licensed bar, open air deck, and covered lower saloon.
The cruise on sailing Barge Victor costs just £25.00 per person. Tickets and further information are available from Ipswich Tourist Information Centre:
