New Literary Festival for Ipswich announced
Books East Festival is a new event for Ipswich in 2016 and is sure to be of interest to literary lovers everywhere. The event is being organised by Assis Carreiro and promises to offer a diverse range of activities and events, for both adults and children.
Whilst the full programme is not available, it has been confirmed that one of the speakers is explorer and author Sir Ranulph Fiennes who will be speaking at the Ipswich Film Theatre on May 13 about his experinces which he has captured in his published works. The ITN royal editor Tim Ewart is another confirmed speaker, and his visit to Ipswich will coincide with the publication of his latest book which marks The Queen’s 90th birthday.
The Books East Festival will take place over 5 days in May 2016. Full programme to follow.
