The Admiral's House

The Ipswich Institute owns two buildings in the town centre of Ipswich.

The first is the vaulted building behind the shops in Tavern Street houses a lending library.

Close by is The Admiral's House, an elegant building in Tower Street.

The building was once occupied by Admiral Benjamin Page and visited by the Duke of Wellington. The Admirals' House was bought by the Ipswich Institute in 2001 and it now proudly houses a wonderful art centre, study rooms, a licensed restaurant and a comfortable coffee lounge.
