Suffolk Walking Festival

Suffolk Walking Festival

Book your tickets for the 2017 Suffolk Walking Festival!

A programme of over 100 guided walks across Suffolk from 13th May to 4th June 2017.

This year 2017 marks The Suffolk Walking Festival's 10th Birthday so there will be a number of walks you will able to take part in around Suffolk.

The Classic and Mega Challenge walks return, offering walkers the opportunity to explore the Stour Valley; a 63-mile route crossing the Suffolk countryside and dipping into Essex. Choose either to complete the route over a leisurely 4 days or if you really want to push yourself why not try it in 30 hours.

Families, we have a selection for you around the half term period from golden mile walks between parks and museums in Lowestoft to activity routes in Ipswich and Sudbury and even a trail or two at Jimmy’s Farm. We are sure that they will be a great day out for all the family.

Not forgetting our launch day with a variety of 10 different walks to try at Sutton Hoo, perhaps you would enjoy being one of the first to test their lasted trail which will have its debut at the launch or perhaps the gruesome grave walk is more for you.

Please head on over to the main website to find out more and to book your tickets.

The festival is a partnership project organised by Suffolk's local authorities with the aim of encouraging residents and visitors to get out into the countryside and explore the county:

Lesley Dolphin, Patron of Suffolk walking festival says, "Over the decade the festival has grown hugely and now there are walks across the whole county and for all sorts of people - there’s bound to be something for you whether its history or nature you love or just the chance to have a sociable stroll".

Since many of the walks sold out last year, early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
