Isaacs on the Quay

Isaacs, great for eating out and for live music

Isaacs on the Quay is a welcoming pub located in a historic oak-beamed building on the beautiful Ipswich Waterfront.

Offering a superb range of food, a wide selection of drinks and a vibrant atmosphere, its four bars also feature regular live sport and live music sessions which are a big draw to those visiting the bar.

Catering for all tastes, Isaacs offers a range of other events including their regular summer BBQs and mini beer festivals. And with its waterside location and views of the marina from many of the windows, plus its variety of interior spaces full of charm and character, Isaacs is also a popular venue for weddings, celebrations and business meetings.

Eating Out - Great Food at Isaacs

The food at Isaacs is pub food with a modern twist, so (for example) their Isaacs Burger is two own-recipe 4oz Dedham Vale beef burgers in a lightly-toasted brioche bun, served with sweet potato fries, salad garnish and relish.

Their version of a mixed grill is the Kiln Bar Platter - pork belly bites, chorizo bites, Wrighty’s ribs and chicken goujons, served with coleslaw, Cajun mayonnaise and sour cream. All very tempting! Of course there’s plenty for vegetarians, light eaters and children too - the full menu can be seen on their website.

Isaacs’ food is freshly-made from the best ingredients, using local produce wherever possible, and there’s always a selection of specials available (check the specials boards) which change according to what’s in season.

If you fancy something lighter and quicker the new Pizza Al Taglio restaurant is now open – pizza by the slice, Rome-style. Have a single slice or try different ones to suit your appetite, maybe with a delicious salad.

Isaacs is also open for breakfast too, everything from a bowl of granola to a full English, or you can simply come for a cup of their organic Green Cup coffee and sit and watch the boats go by.

Live Sports & Music at Isaacs

The atmosphere at Isaacs is always buzzy and lively, especially when there’s a big match or race on! With 20 screens across the 4 bars you’ll be sure to see every goal, try or pit stop.

Live music is also a regular event at Isaacs, with performances every weekend covering all genres of music. Ou live music takes place on Sunday afternoons at 3pm, whilst on Saturday nights a live DJ entertains until 1am.

Networking event 25 January 2017

Venue was cosy with helpful staff. Food was very good just a shame that the music from downstairs at times was louder than we could talk. Perhaps an enclosed room in future would be more beneficial.
